To assist you in preparing for your first meeting with our firm: If you are a business owner, independent contractor, or someone looking to get your individual taxes prepared, here is helpful guidance for our first meeting. Please bring the following if you have it.

For a business:

  • Business Incorporation Paperwork
  • Tax Identification Number
  • S-election letter from IRS
  • Prior year tax return
  • Depreciation Schedules
  • Information about contractors or employees
  • Shareholder information

For an Independent Contractor:

  • Tax Identification number
  • Prior year tax return
  • If using a home office, square footage of the office space and total of home
  • Business portion of vehicle mileage
  • Any recent correspondence from the IRS

For an Individual:

  • Prior year tax return
  • Family members' social security numbers and birthdates
  • Form W-2s, Form 1099s, Form 1098s
  • Rental property income and expenses
  • Form K-1s from any recent investments or businesses owned
  • A record of estimated tax payments
  • Any correspondence from the IRS
